Meet Helen
Hi I am Helen Wittig, a Legal Nurse Consultant with 30 years of clinical experience, including 18 years as a registered nurse. My expertise extends across Ophthalmology, Medical-Surgical care, Orthopedic Oncology, Surgery, Orthopedics and Nurse Navigation.
I have a strong clinical foundation and a clear understanding of how healthcare intersects with the legal system. My role is to help attorneys efficiently analyze complex medical issues, identify standards of care, and translate medical records into clear, defensible legal insights.
With a nursing background grounded in OSHA & JHACO compliance, patient care, documentation, and clinical decision-making, I bring a practical, detail-oriented approach to case evaluation. I assist attorneys in Defense Medical Exams, medical malpractice, personal injury, wrongful death, and other medically related cases by organizing records, identifying strengths and weaknesses, identifying deviations from standards of care, clarifying timelines, and supporting litigation strategy from intake through trial.
I understand that attorneys need reliable, concise, and objective medical analysis—delivered on time and tailored to the needs of each case. Whether serving as a consulting expert behind the scenes or supporting discovery and trial preparation, my goal is to save time, reduce costs, and strengthen case outcomes.
I am committed to professionalism, accuracy, and confidentiality, and I work collaboratively with legal teams to ensure medical facts are clearly understood and effectively presented.
